Shankar Raman

Mr. Raman leads Interharbour Advisory’s Advisory and Capital efforts, bringing substantial expertise in corporate finance, working capital strategy, and technical accounting, strengthened by first-hand, principal experience in domestic and crossborder transactions throughout the commodities chain, from mining and trading to manufacturing. Before founding Interharbour Advisory, Shankar held Chief Financial Officer positions at a large international physical commodities trader of non-ferrous base and precious metals, manufacturing entities, mines, recycling technology research entities, and metals processors/recyclers. Mr. Raman has overseen Structured Trade Finance, Investment, Treasury, Hedging, and Accounting activities, leading over 100 individuals in 10 countries. He has designed and led financial and organizational restructurings, sourced and provided credit solutions for diverse transactions, and has participated in numerous transactions in the renewable technology and natural resources spaces. Mr. Raman previously served with a national advisory firm's Transaction Advisory practice, advising on middle-market transactions, largely in the manufacturing and distribution spaces.

Justin Kuczmarski

Mr. Kuczmarski possesses a unique background combining 24 years of combined senior experience in M&A investment banking and a diversified range of corporate advisory services. He brings strong, real-world M&A experience to delivering valuation services, restructuring, credit advisory, and M&A corporate finance.

 

He has led or participated in over 100 transactions as an investment banker or corporate advisor since 1999. Mr. Kuczmarski has delivered over 700 valuation opinions, focusing on industrial firms, business services companies, and asset management clients.

 

Mr. Kuczmarski served for ten years at a national corporate advisory firm as the Financial Advisory Services Practice Leader. He also has senior M&A investment banking experience as a Valuation Practice Leader for a leading M&A boutique bank. He holds four leading valuation credentials/licenses: (CVA, ABV, CEIV, and CDBV), two credentials/licenses in public and forensic accounting: (CPA and CFF), and one in bankruptcy and restructuring advisory (CIRA). In 2011, he was a Finalist for Crain’s New York Top 40 under 40. In 2016, Mr. Kuczmarski received the NACVA 40 Under 40 from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He is a frequent TV commentator on valuation and M&A for Fox Business Network, Yahoo Finance, TD Ameritrade, and i-24 News. Mr. Kuczmarski is the sole author of the 300-page book The Executive’s Guide to Business Valuation.

Jay Camhi

Mr. Jay Camhi, CAIA, MS, is a Managing Director with over 20 years of experience in financial and operational risk management, derivatives trading, and international trade operations within the hedge fund and commodity trading industries. Mr. Camhi was instrumental in building the derivatives book and risk management business at MCC Non-Ferrous Trading LLC, a physical commodity trading firm specializing in metal and minerals trading, and at Igneo Technologies LLC, an e-waste recycler. Jay managed a team responsible for hedging program implementation, trade execution, data analytics, and risk reporting while developing innovative metrics for the operational risk management of physical commodity trading firms. Mr. Camhi served as Vice President of Portfolio Management and Investment Committee Member at SSARIS Advisors LLC, a commodity trading advisor specializing in managed futures, enhanced indexes, and global macro investment vehicles, where he optimized trade execution of all internal strategies and developing models to enhance yield and automate portfolio rebalancing. Mr. Camhi began his foray into commodities as a runner on the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange in the Crude Oil and Heating Oil/Unleaded Gas options pits.
